Advent 2014 And A Giveaway!

Hello to all my friends and followers!  Today I have a fun post about how I do Advent for Bean.  I don't do anything religious or there isn't really any meaning behind ours...we do it for FUN.  When I was little my mom had a stacked Advent for my sister and I.  It had tiny cardboard boxes that were numbered.  She used to build a necklace or bracelet for us every year.  We LOVED it.  It is hard to build anything for a boy.  It get harder and harder (and more expensive) every year.  This year his Advent is filled with ornaments, Christmas movies, nutcrackers and nutcracker themed crafts.  It also has several novelty treats....like chocolate covered potato chips, pirouette cookies, Nerds holiday candies.

This year I used Santa lunch bags and Chevron Little Bitty Bags from Really Reasonable Ribbon.  They are the 2.75" X 4".  They were the perfect size for the ornaments and some of the smaller novelty items.  I added my own hand written numbers (to include in my December Daily) I think it is important for our children to see our handwriting...even if you think it is bad, they will forever connect you to your writting (boy or girl).

My mulit part question for you is...do you do Advent?  When do you start?  I start on December 1st.  It makes for a nice 24 gifts.  AND What kind of items do you give?  I will choose 1 random winner to receive a 5 pack of the Chevron bags, and an assortment of Really Reasonable Ribbon.  I will run this giveaway till Sunday, December 7th.  Winner announced on Monday.
