I LOVE Bugs!

Good Morning Inky Friends!  Today I am featuring Nicholas Firefly Frenzy, it was just released a few weeks ago.
I really like to give my card dimension.  I usually stamp my image in a color that coordinates with my card...lighter than my final image.  In this case I used Memento ink in cocoa.  I then went ahead and totally finished my card.
I ended up with this!  It could actually be finished as some people like the look of a non-colored stamp.  But I want to take it a bit further and give this boy some color!

I went ahead and stamped him in Memento Tuxedo black and colored him with my copics.  I used coordinating colors that went with the card layout colors.  I used Honey Bee scissors to cut in close to the outline of Nicolas.  I even cut off the grass and extra fireflies because you will be able to see them better on my original stamped image on the card.

I use pop-up dots and placed them directly on the original image.  I then placed my colored image being careful to line up both images perfectly.

Here is the finished card!  Hope you like it!

Paper: Bo Bunny

  7. Hi Jenn
LOve your creation!.. I like the idea you stamped on cardstock and then add the color image. I add sometimes the image without color inside the card.
Thanks for sharing this cool idea.
