This week at Paper Cupcakes we have an awesome picture for all of our challenge participants to use for inspiration.  In fact the colors in this picture have a wonderful summer feel.  So I picked a cute summer stamp from Paper Cupcakes and used a Sketch from CPS.

TUIC April Challenge: Extra Extra Read All About it!!!

Good morning!  I am the host for the Tangled Up In Creativity Blog group monthly challenge.  We have been a group since February of last year (under a different name).  My blog bestie Dawn Mercedes and I co-coordinate the current group.  We all take turns hosting monthly challenges.  This is my month!! 

So, this is my challenge.....Have you seen an upward trend in using newspaper in projects?  Well, get out the newspaper!  I want to see your "daily post" in your projects!  I had a hard time finding positive articles to use as my background.  I finally decided on the "Horoscope" section of the paper.  I used this cute bicycle set from The Cutting Cafe.  You can find it HERE. I carefully used my Copics to color in the bike and the balloons.

TUIC March Challenge: March comes in like a Lion and out like a Lamb

So true even here in Colorado.....Last week we had highs in the upper 70's.  Then came April :0(  today's high was in the upper 30's...WHAT??  Just enough to make my allergies go crazy, in turn making me what to scratch my eyes!!! No kidding, then how would I see to make cards....thank you Zyrtek!

TUIC Molly's Challenge

TUIC Danie's Challenge

Hi All!  I am posting today my entry for one of the first challenges for the TUIC Blog group.  Danie at D-Dazzled Designs is one of two hosts for January….I will be showing you Molly’s challenge and the card I will make for it later this week.  So here is the challenge…and might I say it was a CHALLENGE!  Challenge Criteria is to incorporate the Colors Green and Yellow into your card and to make a card only utilizing Cardstock - no papers, no ribbon, no bling etc.  Only stamping and more cardstock, you can of course emboss, distress and cut cardstock. I really had to think for this one….I had to keep slapping my own hand every time I reached for the ribbon or rhinestones!

TUIC’s Final Challenge for 2010: Gobble Till You Wobble!!!

I just wanted to thank each of you for participating in all the challenges this past year. It has taken some trial and error to get our blog group going….but I think we have a really fun group! So without further ado… Here is your challenge:

1. Your card has to have a turkey somewhere on the card.

2. Your card has to have either sewing or faux sewing somewhere on the card.

3. Your card has to have ribbon somewhere on the card.

The challenge will run the 16-22. The 1st person to get their card posted to Mr. Linky will get a prize. The person with the most creative turkey will get a prize (remember it doesn’t have to be a stamp!).

Finally there will be a prize for the winner of the poll! We will have the poll November 23-25 and the winner will be announced on the 26. Good Luck!

Christmas already???

Who doesn’t love hot chocolate or Chai tea right?   April  is our challenge host for the TUIC blog group.  She has challenged us to make a simple project that a group of kids can do for the holidays.  I have come up with a project that young and old would have fun doing as a group.  These hot chocolate and Chai Tea Latte jars are really simple.  I found this adorable circle digital stamp over at The Cutting Café.  The hot cocoa and Chai Tea Latte is my own creation!    Hope this helps out the Boy Scouts April!!!

Hi Ladies… I made it… I had this goal in my head to try and post Monday, Wednesday and Friday starting this week. So far so good! Today, I worked on my TUIC challenge that Danie is hosting. Visit her blog, its great! She is doing a fundraiser for Prostate Cancer as we speak! Anyway, here is her challenging challenge (at least for me it was!).

1.  Create a card using the color 'Pacific Point' blue by Stampin' Up! or as similar a colour you have.

2.  Make it suitable for a male recipient

3.  Incorporate ribbon or the look of ribbon into your design.

Tangled Up In Creativity: Rose's Challenge

Tangled up in some vintage! Well this week Rose hosted our challenge… Check out her beautiful card. When doing vintage I think you either have the ability to interpret it correctly or you don’t…I am one who falls in the middle. I kind of have it but I could use a little work on getting it better. Vintage is a beautiful style that I think is incredibly hard to put into a card. Here is a general definition:

classic: recognized as being of high quality and lasting appeal

out of date: no longer fashionable or modern

[14th century. Alteration (influenced by vintner) of vendage< Old French vendange< Latin vindemia "grape-gathering" < vinum "wine" + demere "take away"]

Tangled Up In Creativity: Molly's Challenge!

Hellooooo! Hope everyone had a wonderful weekend. Mine was filled with lots and lots of card making! In fact, I stayed in my scrap-area from about 10am to 11:45pm last night!!! YEA!!! I love making cards!!

One of the fun cards I made this weekend was for our Tangled Up In Creativity blog group. Molly over at "Miss Molly Creations" has challenged us to make it simple! Simple? What is that? Holy cow, this is a challenge for me! I am a firm believer that I cannot pack enough on one card! But, I have always loved how people can do "simple" and their cards and LO's turn out just amazing! Molly is one of those people...and she makes it just spectacular!
