Butterfly Birthday Wishes

Hello Jax Bean Stalks friends and followers!  I am so excited to be featuring a card tutorial.  I used several "Acid Free" products today to build my Birthday Butterfly card. I hope I inspire you to try out some of these wonderful Helmar products.

1.  I located the "yellow" page out of a dictionary I use for crafting projects.  I like to coordinate my dictionary page with the theme of my card.  In this case I choose yellow!  I adhered my page to a piece of cardstock with Helmar Acid Free Glue, to make it more stable.
2.  I painted on my Helmar Crackle step 1 and let it dry.  Then I proceeded with Step 2.  I quick dried mine using my heat gun.
3.  After I achieved the most amount of "Crackle", I rubbed in yellow acrylic paint into the cracks.  I then wiped off the excess with a damp cloth.
4.  I mounted my crackled dictionary page onto another piece of coordinating cardstock.

Here is a close up of the crackled/acrylic painted dictionary page.

5.  For mounting my butterflies to my card layout I am using Helmar Liquid Scrap Dots.  This is an acid free product too!  Scroll down for a close-up of the Liquid Scrap Dots!
6.  I adhered all my decorations to my card-front using Helmar Acid Free Glue.  I then added accents of Pearl Pen by Viva Decor.
7.  Don't forget the insides!  I LOVE decorating the inside of my cards too.  Makes them a little more special!

This is a really cool product.  I just let the Scrap Dots sit for about 5 minutes before I added them to my card.

The ribbon I have chosen for this card is from Really Reasonable Ribbon.  Shimmer Satin- Daffodil.

Like I mentioned in the tutorial.  I always have to decorate the inside of my cards.  It just adds that extra touch!

Thank you so much for stopping by.  Hope you have a super crafty week!

Really Reasonable Ribbon Blog Hop- Red White and Blue!

Hello friend and followers of Jax Bean Stalks!!!  Thank you so much for joining me on the beautiful Monday morning.  Today I am so excited to be participating in my very 1st hop as a DT member of Really Reasonable Ribbon (this should be your 1st stop on the hop).  If you are hopping with us today you should have arrived from the very talented HEIDI'S blog.
I am really enjoying working with all the fantastic ribbon that Bonnie has to offer.  Today I am featuring ribbon from the May Ribbon Club.

I am just loving this assortment of 4th of July themed ribbons.  They are all so festive!

I have used stamps from Prickley Pear Rubber Stamps.  The set I used is called Mini Butterflies 2.

I had so much fun "ruffling" this pretty lace.

I don't know if you can tell by now, my card is a "Joy" fold card.  So easy and fun.  I literally haven't made one of these in over a year.

Thank you so much for hopping with Really Reasonable Ribbon today.  I hope you are feeling inspired to start out your week!  The next talented designer you will be visiting is MISTY'S blog.

Welcome to the 5th day of Prickley Pear Rubber Stamps release.
I have made for the very 1st time an ATC!  It was actually really fun and easy.  It made it especially easy using the background from PPRS.  It is ATC sized!  I really like the new Enjoy the Journey sentiment too.  I have also used the Gears Background stamped with Stazon Ink.

PPRS: Your the Best

Happy Saturday.  Today we are off to Bean's second baseball game.  I love watching him play.  It is a "new" experience for him because I have always had him in karate.  Such a fun game at this age!

Today I have a Prickley Pear Rubber Stamps card.  I have used the bee and the sentiment from the "Spring Poinsettia clear set".  I made a background with the bee stamp and then added some washi to make it "Trendy". The Black Pearls are from Miriam's Crafting Supplies.

Prickley Pear Inspiration

Happy Saturday!  I am so excited for my little Bean.  He earned his yellow belt in Kick Boxing.  He has worked so hard since October.  It is a HUGE accomplishment for such a young kid....  Most kids his age take years till they can earn above a white belt.  It takes a LOT of self discipline and the ability to concentrate and pay attention.  So very proud of my little guy!!!

I have two cards today for Prickley Pear Rubber Stamps.  Hope you like them!

The Language of Friendship-PPRS

Good morning Jax Bean Stalks friends, fans and followers.  Today I have a fun altered coaster tutorial.  Perfect for a friends birthday, or maybe even a teacher gift.

The coaster I used in this tutorial has a finish so I primed it.  But if you are using a pressed paper coaster from a local eatery, then you can skip step 1.

Hope you all will try this fun and easy gift idea!

Hope you enjoyed this tutorial!
