Christmas Wreath

Hello friends and followers.  So glad you have joined me today.  I have a very special treat for both of us!  I have made my very 1st video.  I am super excited about it.  It was a bit of a challenge to get it going but I finally did it!  It isn't too fancy.  In fact I have left out any music till I have more time to play with it.  Hope you all like it.

In the video I have made a Mason Jar Lid Wreath.  It turned out really cute!  I hope you like it and will try making one for yourself.

I have use the following Really Reasonable Ribbons on my wreath:  Red 3/8" Ric Rac, Apple 3/8" Ric Rac, Bakers Twine Cherry, and 1.5" Circus Dots Grosgrain Red

I Believe

Merry Christmas!  I had a wonderful weekend with my son!  We had a Santa party at my house for him and 9 close friends…our guest of honor was no other than Santa himself!  We had a blast!  The other event was a Santa Brunch at our local club.  We got to decorate cookies and had a fabulous brunch.  I got to thinking about how much fun it was when I was a kid.  I didn’t get to do all these fabulous parties and brunches like Bean gets to do.  But, my parents made Christmas so special that to this day, Christmas is still my most favorite holiday of all!  Hope everyone is enjoy this holiday.

For this post I have created this adorable little “I Believe” goodie purse.  I used the newest Baby Bud Designs (which now I am on the DT!), “I Believe”.  She has so much magic about her!  You can get her at an absolute steal for a $1 right HERE.  I have a great idea you can pick her up for a $1 and use her to enter the Christmas/Winter challenge over at the Baby Buds Designs Blog and that gives you a chance to win even more of Mary Ann’s cute little Buds!  Hope all of you enjoy this cute little bag.  You can find the tutorial over at Inking Idaho’s Blog…which by the way is a great place to find some really unique projects!  Thanks Becky!

My Snow MEN!

This is one of my favorite ornaments to make.  They are my little snow “men”.   Funny story, I told Bean that he left me for the weekend and I had to make my own friends.  He was upset and told me “mommie, those snowmen are not your friends!  I am your only friend!”  How cute is that?  Warms my heart!  Hope everyone has their tree up and decorated.  I also want to give a Hello to Ms. Cari’s grade 5 class.  They are making these ornaments for their parent gift for Christmas.  Hope things turn out OK Cari!  Good Luck!

Thanks for stopping by and leaving your wonderful comments!

Christmas Joy!

I really enJOY adding scrapbooking paper to items other than a card or scrap page.  I have a little trick (I will only tell those who really want to know) to getting the edges perfect on items like wood and chipboard.  I had a great time making these two little décor items with my little Bean.  He painted the blocks and I added the paper and embellishments.  It is funny because he used to be so crafty and now he is just all boy!  Every so often I can get him to do a little crafting with me and that is truly a JOY!  I hope you all find JOY in this holiday!  Make the most of being together…you never know when that will end!
Happy Holidays!  Thanks so much for always visiting and for all your support!

30 Days and Counting!!!

I cannot believe we are only 30 days away from Christmas!  Wow it was just Halloween and today I put up my trees!  I hope all of you had a fun Black Friday!  I was at Wal-Mart at 4:30am and looked around and wondered why I am here?  I do most of my shopping on-line as there are not a lot of options for kids stuff here in GJ!  Our city is on a big campaign to shop “local”…but when there are not options for shopping how can you keep your money local??  So in honor of the real start of Christmas, I will begin my card and home décor posts with this really cute Advent calendar.  My mom always did an advent calendar for my sister and I growing up…now I do one for Bean.  I will show his actual advent calendar on the 1st…so come back and take a peek then for another fun calendar.  Good luck everyone and now we are off to the races till the 25th!!!

Thanks for visiting!!  Happy Holidays!

Paper: Assorted
Cricut: Jasmin, Joys of the Season

Framing Halloween!

A great way to capture the Halloween spirit and pass it on is in a picture frame.  I bought these frames from Michaels ($1.50).  I framed a picture of Bean holding a pumpkin we made at a Michael’s workshop, and gave it to the grandparents and my sister.  Hope you like it!!!  Have a safe and Happy Halloween!  And don’t forget to give out some treats!

Happy Monday!

I can’t believe Grandparent’s day has already come and gone. This year is going so fast! I made a dish my great-grandma use to make my dad when he was young, fried Chicken and mashed potatoes. It turned out really good! Bean gave my dad a picture frame with a picture of the two of them fishing for bass this summer in Florida. Bean helped me cover a wooden frame from Hobby Lobby with scrapbooking paper. I got the digi from Karen’s Doodles…you should check out her fall digi’s, they are adorable! Hope all the grandparents had a wonderful day yesterday!

I'm Back!!!

Hi Everyone! I bet some of you thought I fell into the pool and never got out!! Well, that is partially correct...I was in the pool a lot this summer. My son is a fish! Colorado has such a small window of warm weather, we have to get it while it’s HOT!!! Plus, we were inside way too long this past winter!! With that said, I am back!!! I will be posting regularly!

With the end of the summer approaching, this means the end of swimming lessons. My son and I were fortunate enough to find a couple of really amazing and fun swim teachers… Janet and Kathy. They spent most of my little Bean’s lessons getting him and his best friend Lauren off the bottom of the deep end! So, I decided they both deserved a bottle of wine to celebrate a successful summer of lessons! Thanks again Janet and Kathy!
